I remember Good Friday of last year 2011, i had my shift it was just an ordinary day.. usual day apart from it, it was the lenten season. 12 noon and i was alone at the office, since i worked on a bpo industry and we worked on a graveyard shift, everyone has gone home except for me since i have different function at the office, working on our end of day reports blah blah. went out of the office to grab some lunch but the only decent food i can eat is the one coming from mini stop since most of the fast food is closed..i didn't buy, instead i walked from Market Market all the way down to High Street, and who am i kidding of course im not gonna splurge myself to eat at Serendra, goodluck! but there was some kind of a force that pulls me towards at Boni Hi. and mind me, it was i think the hottest day of that week and im strolling at 12 noon! wah! then i saw this big black board once you cross from Serendra to High Street, written in there "This Holy Week remember how he took our place" its a short statement but it somehow caught my full attention. i challenged myself on checking all 14 interactive stations that stood there and each station has boards that you have to reflect into the words written in there and the most crucial part is that, each stations will designate you to perform a simple task that will make you realize how Christ took our place. to cut the story short, this year of 2012, i invited some of my closest friends and share the same experience i had from last year.
Romans 4:25 He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our jurisdiction
Mark 14:32 They went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, "Sit here while I pray."
Luke 23:24 "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing"
John 11:25-26 "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die."
and to capped off the night, Walkway paved the way for us to our Jamba Juice date. Yay!!
End of the activity they are all astounded of the beautiful experience we all had gone through. they are all looking forward of having the same drill next year. one thing i know, i may have doubts on sharing this one to them because sometimes religion is one sensitive issue that we need to be careful of, but im so glad that it somehow uplifted their spiritual view. Thank you Walkway. Thank you ChurchSimplified.
