PALAWAN: one for the books.

DAY 1: Finally! my palawan escape is way long overdue to get posted. LOTS of major turnarounds happened from the last couple of weeks/months not just the palawan trip per se but my entire personal life and career wise but before we get into there need to share some highlights of my trip. twas my first trip all the way down to visayas region and i make sure that it will be worth it! no, i did not fail on that one. truly it was a beautiful experience to see the other side of the metro. set aside all the pollution, crimes all over and all the political brouhaha, philippines indeed can still compete when it comes to nature and this post will definitely says it all.

- oh did i say i was alone on my first day? yes I AM!
WELCOME TO PUERTO PRINCESA !

one of the best things about this trip is
i get to share it with my wing man :)
- airport transfer to hotel included on our package. Yay!
one of the best views from this hotel.
got a GOOD DEAL for this accommodation.
in prep for our lunch out and tiangge
-at this point of time we are already dead hungry!
first stop was KaLui, one of Palawan's pride
when it comes to food

seaweed appetizer
spicy squid
KaLui steak
who would wanna miss the famous Tubbataha salad. Nomnom!
prawns
on the house salad - freebies!!

KaLui was our first stop. We did not had anything for breakfast so we are eagerly looking forward for this one. We billed on this a long time ago when i was checking on the net the best food deals in town and KaLui tops it all. We had the Kalui special of the day that already includes fish steak, veggies of the day, spicy squids, prawns and rice. and to sum it all up we had this famous Tubbataha salad and waiter served our on the house salad for the day. after that sumptuousness meal we were like zombies walking along the streets of city towards the tiangge place. but really it was one of the best. we ate barefooted, place was entirely at its best, food was an A+ to me, and man the price is supeeer affordable, you would want to go back if only you have all the time in the world.
barefoot  is the first rule

mini garden

paintings all over the place

real ones!

thank you KaLui! :)

Tiangge is about few kilometers from KaLui, but we managed to walk thru it also good idea after all after having that big meal we had to walk it off. haha! Normally buying pasalubongs is on the last part of the trip but we chose to have it on our first day instead because of all the itinerary lined up. Here are some of the goodies.

DAY 2: Woke up 430am for the 7am call time for our Underground river trip. Also to get in time with our hotel's buffet breakfast at 6am.
20min boat ride all the way from Sabang port to Underground River, not to mention the an hour and half by land from hotel to Sabang port.

One of the 7 Wonders of the World

After the whole breathtaking trip to Underground River i must say that Philippines indeed has all the wonders of being most sought when it comes to beautiful views and nature in speaking. We just need better govern on that.

To cap the night we went to Kinabuch, this is the place to be at night. But we were not in the mood for drinking and we ended up having a simple dinner and tried the famous "tamilok" - a woodworm which taste like oyster. Bit icky and yucky but not that bad, did not get to finish the small plate though haha!

DAY 3: One of the most anticipated day of this is the Dos Palmas -well im excited the whole trip cant blame me :) Woke up same time as yesterday. Same routine for brekky buffet and to be pick up by the team from hotel to port then 1hr boat ride to Dos Palmas.

welcome drinks :)
